A registered celebrant, whether civil or religious, is the one person you must have at your wedding ceremony.

Sunshine Coast, Wedding, Ceremony, marriage, celebrantYour celebrant is the one who sets the tone of your day, and you must be happy with whom you choose, therefore I offer all prospective clients an obligation-free first meeting at no charge.
You can peruse the resources available for your use, ask questions about how I go about preparing your ceremony and we can begin to get to know each other.

You are then free to go away, with some materials to peruse, and make your decision in private and without pressure.  My booklet "Planning Your Wedding Ceremony" is yours to keep regardless of your final decision.  Once you have elected to use my services I will provide you with a  loan copy of  a CD containing a vast range of materials to use in planning your ceremony.

After this meeting I hold your date for 2 weeks to allow you both time to consider the materials and information discussed.

My promise to you is that, as a result of working closely with you, your ceremony will be very special, personalized and just what you want.   My fees realistically reflect the approximately 12-15 hours of work I will do for you - I never compromise on the quality of my work - each and every wedding is given Platinum level service and there is no surcharge for weekends or public holidays.

My fees are totally transparent with no hidden extras and will be discussed in detail at our first meeting, once I know your requirements.  I require a deposit of $150 to lodge your NOIM and confirm your booking.  The balance, which will rarely exceed $400, and will usually be considerably less, is payable 2 weeks prior to the wedding date.  A firm quote will be given once I know the details of your wedding.

My fee Includes:

  • The preparation of a personalised ceremony that reflects your beliefs and wishes for your wedding ceremony.

  • The supply and preparation of all legal forms, along with lodgement of your NOIM prior to your wedding ceremony and all documents sent to the Register of Births Deaths and Marriages immediately after the wedding.

  • Attendance at a rehearsal of your ceremony - highly recommended if you have a wedding party of more than 4 participants.

  • Presentation of your ceremony in a manner befitting your wedding ceremony style - always professional, always audible by your guests and always in keeping with a wedding ceremony.

  • Complementary supply of the following items if needed:

    • Portable, battery or mains operated PA system to ensure all guests can hear your ceremony.
    • A signing table and 2 chairs all with fitted white damask cloth covers.
    • A choice of signing pens to complement your wedding ceremony style.
    • The use of a silver dish for holding your rings during the Ring Exchange.
    • The use of small heart shaped jars for holding coloured sand or water for a Sand or Water Ceremony.
    • The use of 2 elegant silver taper candle holders for a Unity Candle Ceremony.
    • The inclusion of your completed application form for your Registered Certificate of Marriage with other documents that I send to BDM.  (There is a BDM fee of $35.00 for which you need to arrange payment via credit card or money order.)
  • Additional Costs may include:

    • for formal correspondence in relation to the marriage (e.g. consuls, embassies, Dept of Immigration etc: $25.00/letter

    • for ceremonies involving unconventional time, place or risk – details and costings will be discussed beforehand.

    • for special requirements as agreed beforehand - e.g. You may wish me to purchase items, such as candles or coloured sand, on your behalf.

    • A late fee of $60.00, should the ceremony not begin within 30 minutes of the scheduled starting time and I have not been notified of likely delays.

Alternately, if you want something very intimate and simple, such as a mid-week elopement, please discuss your requirements with me.  These ceremonies usually require less preparation time, thus my fee will reflect that.

Following your wedding, I provide, at no additional cost, information regarding the process of changing your name with various government and private organisations.
