You will receive a complimentary copy of my booklet “Planning Your Wedding Ceremony”.

This booklet steps you through the process of planning your ceremony and enables you to maintain control of the process whilst working closely with me to achieve a ceremony that is makes you feel special as a couple and is meaningful to your guests.

You will also receive a CD containing a range of resources, including a selection of complete ceremonies to peruse thus enabling you to get a feel for the ceremony as a whole and for what suits your personal style. From this we can work to create you ceremony, always seeking ways to include elements of your personal story.

This CD also includes numerous poems and readings from literature suitable to the occasion as well as various suggestions for each part of the ceremony – after all it can be very difficult working without any prior knowledge. Rarely are these used verbatim in a new ceremony – rather they become the starting point for creating something just for you.

I have officiated at marriage ceremonies in all these locations and each one is special in its own right.

I attend and can offer advice at a Ceremony Rehearsal in the days just prior to your wedding. This is a good opportunity for the bridal party to walk through their roles so that everyone knows what they are doing on the day.  I also liaise closely with your photographer to ensure the best possible memories of your day are captured.

I will provide at no additional cost:

• a table and 2 chairs, suitably covered for signing the official documents.

• a choice of signing pens.

• a lectern for holding my papers, microphone for additional speakers and other requirements for your ceremony.

• a small pa system, suitable for garden and beach weddings.

If you plan to hold your wedding in the beautiful outdoors always have an alternate covered or indoor venue as a backup. Inclement weather is a part of life in Montville and Maleny and, if prepared, it needn’t spoil your day.

If you wish to get married in a park or on the beach, check to see if you need permission from the local council. Make a booking for the area you want and consider roping off the area for the time needed before and after the ceremony. If you wish to marry at the beach, do check on tide times as this may influence the time of your ceremony.

Ceremony and ritual allow us to do things that are profoundly symbolic. They allow the depth of what we feel to shine through, they are the visible means for honouring that unseen world we hold within us.
