Merlin follows in her Mother’s footsteps as a Marriage Celebrant and was initially inspired by her Mum’s work with couples to become a professional wedding celebrant herself.

Merlin lives in Montville, in the glorious hinterland of the Sunshine Coast. Because she enjoys working closely with people so much and views marriage as a special gift and a great promise for the future, Merlin decided to make her role as a wedding celebrant her primary occupation when she moved, with her husband, to Montville in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland.

Merlin spent most of her life in North Queensland, working in education, including time as a literacy consultant and professional development provider to schools and as Head of School in the Independent Sector.

As a result of this work, Merlin has well developed organization, writing and speaking skills. She is an excellent communicator and is able to gather the necessary information from clients to enable her to prepare a very personalized marriage ceremony for you.

Merlin speaks Japanese and performs bi-lingual weddings in both English and Japanese when required.

Merlin is a member of the professional association “Alliance of Celebrants, Queensland" and meets regularly with her colleagues to undertake regular professional development, thus ensuring she is up to date at all times.  She is  a committee member of the Montville Chamber of Commerce and dedicates time each week to community service.
